About Checkpoint Times

What this site does

Checkpoint Times shows real-time TSA security checkpoint wait times for United Airlines hub airports and other high-traffic United-served airports. The goal is a fast, data-forward view of current conditions — no marketing copy, no frills, just the numbers you need before you head to the airport.

Data sources

Wait time data is sourced from individual airport official feeds and airline-published APIs. These include the Port Authority of NY & NJ (EWR, JFK, LGA), individual airport websites, and other official sources. FAA National Airspace System (NAS) delay data is sourced from the FAA's NASSTATUS feed. METAR weather observations are sourced from NOAA Aviation Weather.

Update frequency

Data collection runs automatically on a scheduled basis. Most airports update every 5–30 minutes depending on how frequently the source publishes new data. The "Reported" timestamp on each row shows exactly when that reading was recorded by the source. If a reading is more than 2 hours old, it is shown as stale.

Data accuracy

All data is sourced from official airport and airline feeds and is presented as-is. Wait times reflect what the source reported at the time of collection — actual conditions may differ. This site is not affiliated with TSA, United Airlines, or any airport authority. Data is provided for informational purposes only and is not guaranteed to be accurate or current.

Privacy

No personal data is collected or stored by this site beyond standard Cloudflare analytics (anonymous, aggregate only). See the Privacy page for full details.
